After incineration, all that remains at the bottom of the incinerator is ash. In volume, this is still about 10% of the original quantity of waste. The ash first passes through a water bath to cool it, and is then passed via a vibrating table to a separate storage bunker. But first a large rotating band magnet takes out the iron, which is re-used in the steel industry. The remaining ash is fully re-used in road construction.
